Sales activity increased by nine per cent in Perth this week, with 648 reported transactions.

The rise in weekly sales can be attributed to a two per cent increase in sales for houses, a 12 per cent increase in unit sales and a 58 per cent increase in vacant land sales.

Listings for sale

Total properties listed for sale in Perth fell during the week to 14,657.

Listings for houses, units and vacant land all decreased by two, three and two per cent respectively.

The total number of listings recorded this week is one per cent higher in comparison to four weeks ago and five per cent lower compared to the same time last year.

Perth rental market

REIWA members reported that the total number of properties for rent in Perth contracted over the week to 9,309.

This figure is one per cent lower in comparison to four weeks ago and is 12 per cent lower than the same time last year.
