Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 10 October

Sales activity in Perth lifted by two per cent over the week, with 596 transactions recorded.

The increase in sales can be attributed to a two per cent increase in house sales and a 20 per cent increase in vacant land sales. Unit sales declined by eight per cent over the week.

Listings for sale

The total number of properties for sale in Perth increased to 13,453 over the week.

Listings for houses increased by three per cent, while both unit and vacant land listings increased by one per cent.

This week’s total listings figure is three per cent higher than four weeks ago and seven per cent lower than the same time last year.

Perth rental market

REIWA members reported that the total number of properties available for rent declined over the week to 9,653.

This is three per cent lower than four weeks ago and 12 per cent lower than the same time last year.
