When selling your family home, it’s generally quite an emotional experience.

Emotional for the Seller as they are letting go of memories from their past and emotional for the Buyers as they are looking for a place for a fresh start to build their own memories.

As a sales agent, it’s essential to learn some of the stories that go with a house because the stories are what make it a home.

A great local agent should already know about the suburb they are selling in.

Some examples may be bus routes, what’s happening with rezoning, which schools perform well, where to get the best coffee and what days the bins go out, but it’s just as important to know about the street and the stories of that particular home.

Quite often, Buyers in the Kalamunda Hills stay for quite a while, so learning some history of their home is very important to them.

  • Who have the previous owners been?
  • Have they had weddings in the gardens?
  • Who dammed up the creek?
  • Who added the Granny fat and why?
  • Does the street have Xmas parties?
