Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 22 August

Sales activity in Perth increased by five per cent over the week, with 545 transactions reported.

This overall lift in sales is attributed to a one per cent increase in house sales, an 11 per cent increase in unit sales, and a 24 per cent increase in vacant land sales.

Listings for sale
The total number of properties for sale in Perth was stable over the week, holding at 13,251 listings.

Listings for both houses and units were steady, while land listings decreased by one per cent.

The total number of listings recorded this week is three per cent lower than four weeks ago and six per cent lower than the same time last year.

Perth rental market
REIWA members reported that the total number of properties for rent in Perth declined over the week to 10,330.

This figure is four per cent lower than four weeks ago and seven per cent lower than the same time last year.
