Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 15 August

Sales activity in Perth increased by four per cent over the week, with 520 transactions recorded.

The lift in sales can be attributed to a four per cent increase in house sales, a three per cent increase in unit sales, and a nine per cent increase in vacant land sales.

Properties for sale
Listings for sale in Perth were stable over the week, holding at 13,295.

Listings for houses decreased by a marginal one per cent, whilst unit and vacant land listings increased by one and two per cent respectively.

The total number of listings recorded this week is three per cent lower than four weeks ago and five per cent lower than the same time last year.

Perth rental market
REIWA members reported that the total number of properties for rent in Perth declined over the week, with 10,451 listings recorded.

This figure is four per cent lower than levels seen four weeks ago and seven per cent lower than the same time last year.
