Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 12 September 2017

Sales activity in Perth experienced an increase over the week by 10 per cent, with 563 transactions recorded.

The overall 10 per cent rise in weekly sales is attributed to an 11 per cent increase in sales for houses, a nine per cent decrease in unit sales, and an increase in vacant land sales by four per cent over the week.

Listings for sale
The total number of properties listed for sale in Perth rose by a marginal one per cent over the week to 13,110.

Listings for houses, units and vacant land all increased by one, two and three per cent respectively.

The total number of listings recorded this week is one per cent lower in comparison to four weeks ago and is eight per cent lower compared to the same time last year.

Perth rental market
Turning to the rental market, REIWA members reported that the total number of properties available for rent in Perth contracted over the week to 9,990.

This is four per cent lower than levels seen four weeks ago and is nine per cent lower than the same time last year.
