Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 26 September

Sales activity in Perth declined over the week by 16 per cent, with 488 transactions recorded.

The drop off in weekly sales was likely influenced by the Queen’s Birthday public holiday, and is directly attributed to a 12 per cent decrease in house sales, a 35 per cent decrease in unit sales, and a 17 per cent decrease in vacant land sales.

Listings for sale

The total number of properties for sale in Perth was stable over the week, holding at 13,262.

Listings for houses increased by one per cent, while unit and vacant land listings remained stable.

The total number of listings recorded this week is unchanged compared to four weeks ago and eight per cent lower  than the same time last year.

Perth rental market

REIWA members reported that the total number of available rentals in Perth decreased over the week to 9,792.

This figure is four per cent lower than four weeks ago and eight per cent lower than the same time last year.
