Pets and rental properties

Pets and rental properties

We understand that furry friends are part of the family too and finding a rental property suitable for your pet can be challenging. Once accepted to a property with your pet, a $260.00 pet bond will require to be paid at the commencement of the tenancy.

Please also be reminded a flea treatment is required at the end of a tenancy when you have a pet, regardless of if there is carpet at the property or not.

If you are a current tenant and thinking of getting a pet, please approach your property manager prior to going ahead, so they can explain the process and consult the landlord for permission to have the pet at the property.

Landlords that are willing to accept pets, we encourage you to advertise your properties listings with ‘pets considered’ so each tenant can easily see which properties are suitable for them to inspect and apply.

Landlords that choose to allow pets, we can suggest suitable landlord protection policies that have great cover included, for any potential damage. Please remember to consult your insurer or ask your property manager if you have any questions.

Here at Professionals assisting you with your Property Management and Leasing needs is our focus. So, if we can be of any further assistance, please get in touch today.
