With the first interest rate rise in 11 years, everyone is asking when prices will start slowing.

There was no doubt that with the announcement of the cash rate increasing from 0.1 – 0.35 per cent there was speculation that things would start slowing and for a few weeks we definitely felt a change.

Something that has been quite consistent for us at Professionals over the past 3 months is that we have been listing more houses than we are selling. This would indicate that stock levels are slowly creeping back up from their historical lows of 2022/2021, but we still have a long way to go before it becomes a buyer’s market.
